Your First 90 Days at RFC

Starting fertility treatment can feel overwhelming. At Reproductive Fertility Center (RFC), led by double board-certified Dr. Peyman Saadat, your first 90 days are structured for clarity and support—from your initial consultation through your pregnancy (beta) test.

Days 0–30: Getting Started and Testing

Your journey begins with a consultation at one of RFC’s Southern California locations, or via telehealth for out-of-area patients. Dr. Saadat reviews your medical history and goals, discusses prior treatments, and may perform or order an initial ultrasound or lab work.

Over the next several weeks, the RFC team completes basic fertility testing. This includes blood tests for ovarian reserve and hormones, ultrasounds to assess the uterus and ovaries, and semen analysis for male partners when needed. Some patients may need uterine imaging, genetic screening, or infectious-disease tests based on their situation.

With results in hand, Dr. Saadat crafts your personalized treatment plan. Options may include IUI, IVF, ovulation induction, donor eggs or sperm, surrogacy, or fertility preservation—tailored to your needs, not batched cycles.

Days 30–60: Your Active IUI or IVF Cycle

The RFC team coordinates your cycle calendar around your menstrual cycle and medications. You’ll get detailed instructions on injections (if prescribed), monitoring, and 24/7 support from nurses and staff.

For IVF, ovarian stimulation involves 8–14 days of hormone injections, with 5–7 monitoring visits (bloodwork and ultrasounds) to fine-tune dosing under Dr. Saadat’s oversight. A trigger shot precedes egg retrieval, a short outpatient procedure under sedation.

Eggs are fertilized in the lab, embryos monitored for days, with optional preimplantation genetic testing as advised. The team updates you on progress and timing for fresh or frozen transfer.

For IUI, staff track follicle growth via ultrasound/bloodwork, time ovulation, and perform the brief, anesthesia-free insemination.

Select patients may receive supportive intralipid or NAD+ infusions for issues like recurrent failure or immune concerns—these are individualized by Dr. Saadat.

RFC handles multi-location care, international coordination, financial counseling, and WINFertility Elite Network access.

Days 60–90: The Two-Week Wait and Results

Post-transfer or IUI, follow team guidance during the two-week wait before your beta test.

The beta blood test, ~9–14 days after procedure, measures pregnancy hormones; staff communicate results promptly. Positives lead to repeat tests and early ultrasounds before OB transition.

Negatives prompt a compassionate review with Dr. Saadat to adjust protocols, test further, or explore donor/surrogate paths. Throughout, RFC’s team ensures you’re informed and supported every step.
